What does Sayrelyn's offer?
Sayrelyn's offers prepared entrées, side dishes, appetizers and desserts that you select, prepare and package at our location, then store and cook at home.

A visit to Sayrelyn's eliminates the bother and stress of meal planning, preparation, cooking and clean-up.  Dinner once again becomes a welcome break in your hectic life - a treasured time to relax and enjoy great food with your loved ones.

How does it all work?
Sayrelyn's is like nothing you've ever experienced.  In just a few easy steps, you'll have a dozen entrées ready to serve to your family.  It's so simple:

  1. Call or visit our easy-to-use web site to select your favorite entrées and choose the day and time of your prep-session.
  2. Come into our spotless, convenient location and prepare your entrées in a lively 90-120 minute session under the guidance of our friendly chef and staff.
  3. Bring home your freshly created entrées in convenient trays and zipped bags to store in your freezer.
  4. Place your entrées in the refrigerator the day before for quick and easy cooking the following night.
  5. Simple instructions are provided, along with our chef's serving suggestions to turn your entrées into delicious, wholesome dinners.

What exactly do I get, and for how much?
At each prep-session, you'll make a total of 12 selections.  Each selection serves up to six people.  You may choose from an assortment of 14 available selections, which includes a mix of entrées, side dishes, appetizers, and desserts. You can choose any combination of 12 selections, giving you complete flexibility and total control.  Each session cost depends on your selections.

I really like the fact that some dishes appeal to adults, while others are aimed at the kids tastes.

How often will I go to prep-session?
Most Sayrelyn's customers attend one or more sessions a month.  If you use all your 12 selections for entrées, then one session should provide half or more of your monthly dinners.  If you use your selections on other dishes, such as appetizers and desserts, then you may want to attend our prep-sessions more frequently so you'll always be prepared with dinners.

Can I bring friends or children to the sessions?
Sorry, but we ask that you don't.  In order to provide a pleasant, stress-free atmosphere, children under 12 are not permitted in our facility. Also, our prep-sessions require the use of restaurant-type equipment that is unsuitable for children to be around.

Only Sayrelyn's customers may attend our prep-sessions.  Friends may attend only if they are Sayrelyn's customers.

What do I bring to the sessions?
You may want to bring a cooler and ice-packs to transport your selections home.  Each selection is stored in either a zipped bag or a container such as a disposable foil pan.  When you sign up, you'll be told what containers - if any - to bring.  For your convenience, we supply the zipped bags and disposable foil containers.

How will I cook my selections?
Cooking your Sayrelyn's selections is easy!  Clear and simple directions are printed on labels you affix to each package.  You'll use your stove-top, oven, crock-pot or microwave, depending on the instructions and/or your preferences.

What else do I have to do to prepare my entrées after defrosting?
Nothing or very little. After defrosting, most entrées are "one dish" and are ready to be cooked according to labeled directions. These may be in an oven, stovetop, microwave or barbeque. Very few items may require you to mix or combine. Sayrelyn's provides all the ingredients and directions to do this.

Are the meals complete?
Some are. . . some aren't. . . and the rest is up to you!  Some of our selections are essentially complete dinners - such as Chili, Taco Casserole or Stuffed Bell Peppers.  Others selections are entrées - such as Honey-Glazed Salmon or Rosemary Pork Loin.  Typically customers make their own side dishes (rice, salads, vegetables, etc.) to go with their entrées, because once the entrée is taken care of, making the rest of the dinner is pretty easy.

However, some customers also choose our side dishes, appetizers or even our desserts as their selections, giving them enough options so they never have to cook dinner again!

How long do the meals last after they are stored in my freezer?
Sayrelyn's meals store well and last many weeks in your freezer.  Also for your convenience, the labels with the cooking instructions have your prep-session date on them.

How does Sayrelyn's compare with cooking from scratch?
Sayrelyn's saves you the work and stress of meal planning, preparation, cooking and clean-up.  The planning is handled.  The shopping is done.  The ingredients are fresh and already chopped, cleaned, measured, etc.  Plus there are no messy pots, pans and mixing bowls to wash - just the one cooking dish and the usual dinner dishes.

Many Sayrelyn's customers find they even save on their monthly grocery bill.  At approximately $3.25 per serving, Sayrelyn's is an affordable, easy way to serve your family delicious, wholesome food.

How does Sayrelyn's compare with traditional dining out?
Sayrelyn's is much more affordable than traditional dining out.  You're likely to spend more at even the cheapest pizza place!  You also save the time and hassle of getting everyone ready, choosing a location everyone will agree to - as well as gas and parking expenses.

How does Sayrelyn's compare to fast-food?
Sayrelyn's provides wholesome and nutritious meals that are far better tasting - and better for you - than fast-food.  And, unlike fast-food, Sayrelyn's lets you adjust ingredients to suit your taste and nutritional goals.  And, at approximately $3.25 per serving, it's still less expensive than fast-food.

Is Sayrelyn's a membership club?
No. Sayrelyn's is not a club or membership-based service.  Each session is paid for and attended independently.  All our customers enjoy the flexibility of attending our prep-sessions more or less frequently as their schedules and needs change.

What's new at Sayrelyn's?

  • Chef Selections. . . We are offering our "Chef Selections," a truly gourmet experience at a slightly higher cost, ideal for entertaining and celebrations.
  • Special Sessions. . . Watch for our variety of "Special Sessions," designed for customers.
  • Kids Sessions - 3rd Saturday of each month. Kids from 7 years to 12 years and their parents are invited to make meals together. Make this a fun time for your kids!

I'm very interested in Sayrelyn's.  Can I just come in and see what a session is all about?
If you're interested but not quite ready to jump in, call and schedule a time to watch our customers in action at one of our prep-sessions.  You can review the menu, and see how easy it is.  We're convinced you'll want to sign up for your session right away!

Do you deliver?
We can prepare your selections in advance and have them waiting for you to pick up.   We do not deliver.

Sayrelyn's Policies

How does your Frequent Sessions Rewards Program work?

  1. Customers will be given an FSAP card, which will be credited on the card for each regular 12 entree session completed.
  2. At the completion of 12 sessions, the FSAP card may be redeemed for a Sayrelyn's Culinary Classics Gift Certificate for $100.00
  3. This certificate can be used on our website the same as cash or credit card for payment when making a reservation.
(This program becomes effective 1/1/05 and is not retroactive)

How does your Referral Rewards Program work?
Current customers who refer friends, family, or acquaintances will receive a Gift Certificate for a FREE six (6) entree session when six (6) referrals each complete a regular twelve (12) entree session.

  1. The person who refers others to Sayrelyn's Culinary Classics will download the REFERRAL FORM from our website or ask at our office for the form.
  2. Place six (6) names of persons on the form you referred and have completed a twelve (12) entree session.

What is your Cancellation and Refund Policy?
To ensure we have the freshest ingredients, we place our food orders just a few days in advance of your scheduled session. You can reschedule a session for no additional charge if you give us at least 48 hours notice. If you cannot reschedule your session prior to 48 hours, there will be a 25% fee for cancellation of your session.

Please call to reschedule or cancel your session as soon as possible as we cannot reschedule once your session time begins. We understand that emergencies or circumstances arise. Sayrelyn's will make every effort to reschedule you to another session, space permitting.

Can I split a meal that serves 6 into two meals that serve 3?
You may do this for free by checking the box for splits when making a reservation. However, we recommend against this for the following reasons:

  1. We do not test our recipes in smaller portions than the six servings we supply.
  2. When food is frozen and cooked in portion sizes other than that which the recipe calls for, we cannot guarantee the taste and consistency of the entrée. This is due to the effects of different freezing times and cooking requirements of the smaller volumes, and weight of the entrée.
  3. Not all recipes are suitable for splitting, due to the type of food, recipe design and other factors.

May I share a Session with a friend?
Sharing a session with a friend can cause crowding at the preparation tables, and force other customers to wait longer to finish their entrées. Due to the size of our facilities, limited amount of time for sessions and our commitment to excellence in the classroom environment, you may share sessions ONLY according to the following rules. We always reserve the right to ask one of the sharing partners to please sit in our lounge area for a few minutes when the session is too crowded.

  1. You MUST call or email us with a minimum of 48 hours advanced notice.
  2. Our prep tables are set up to accommodate TWO guests working on DIFFERENT recipes. When sharing, two people may NOT work on the SAME recipe at the same time.
  3. If the sharing partner does NOT have another entrée to prepare OR no other table location is open, we request that they please take a seat in the lounge area until a prep table is available.

What is your policy for group reservations?

  1. A group session is defined as a MINIMUM of Eight persons attending a single session at the same time. If the session is large enough, and with sufficient notice, we will close the session to all other customers except the Group.
  2. Each person attending as part of the group will receive one (1) free additional entrée with their session.
  3. Each person attending the Group Session must order at least the regular twelve (12) entrées
  4. The free entrée choices will be offered by Sayrelyn's when the session begins.
  5. Special Chef Selections or entrée with extra fees are not included as free entrée choices.
  6. Each person in the group must sign up individually on the web site or via phone.
  7. If you want a closed session, please give us sufficient notice, so we may make arrangements on our calendar page. If we close the session for you and your group does not have a sufficient amount of signed attendees within TWO WEEKS of your scheduled time, Sayrelyn's will open up the session to others.
